CCL Facades contributed to the delivery of Yara International’s new manufacturing facility at Ozone Business Park in Howden, a major industrial development designed to support the UK’s agricultural supply chain.
The project forms part of a significant investment in modern manufacturing infrastructure, delivering a state-of-the-art facility focused on efficiency, sustainability and long-term operational performance. Working alongside the main contractor, CCL Facades was appointed to design, supply and install a specialist glazing package, supporting both the architectural intent and performance requirements of the development.
The facade package included approximately 290 sqm of glazing and curtain walling, comprising capped curtain wall systems with integrated thermal breaks and commercial entrance doors.
The curtain walling system was designed to deliver a clean and consistent external appearance, with glazing fixed on all four sides using a pressure plate system concealed beneath external cover caps.
All systems were polyester powder coated and glazed with solar control double glazed units, ensuring compliance with thermal, security and air permeability requirements. The glazing solution was carefully integrated within the wider building envelope, supporting both the functional requirements of the facility and its modern architectural aesthetic.

The facade systems were developed to provide long-term durability and performance within a demanding industrial environment. The use of thermally broken systems and high-performance glazing contributes to energy efficiency, supporting the wider sustainability objectives of the development.
Through coordinated design, technical expertise and high-quality installation, CCL Facades delivered a robust and compliant façade solution that enhances the overall performance of the facility.
The project demonstrates CCL Facades’ capability to deliver specialist glazing packages on large-scale industrial developments, supporting the continued growth of advanced manufacturing infrastructure in the UK.
