CCL Facades delivered the facade package for Schneider Electric’s new expanded manufacturing facility in Scarborough, a landmark £42 million development reinforcing Yorkshire’s reputation as a hub for high-tech industry and innovation.

Delivered on behalf of main contractor Caddick Construction, with development partners, Caddick Developments, the project highlights strong collaboration across the Caddick Group while showcasing CCL Facades’ expertise in designing and delivering high-performance, visually striking facade solutions.

Supporting a Landmark Manufacturing Development

The new Schneider Electric facility forms part of a £42 million investment that will support the company’s continued growth in manufacturing. Designed to support modern and sustainable manufacturing practices, the project was delivered by Caddick Construction in partnership with Caddick Developments, and demonstrates the value of integrated expertise across the wider Caddick Group.

CCL Facades was appointed to deliver specialist façade elements that contribute to both the performance and visual impact of the building, ensuring the external envelope meets strict compliance and energy efficiency requirements.

Specialist Aluminium Glazing and Façade Installation

CCL Facades designed, supplied and installed the aluminium windows, curtain walling and doors across the development. In total, the works comprised approximately 335 sq m of glazed aluminium facade systems, carefully integrated within the wider building envelope.

The installation included a combination of aluminium framed windows, curtain walling and door systems designed to maximise natural daylight while maintaining strong thermal performance. The completed systems achieve an overall U-value of 1.2 W/m²K, ensuring the facade contributes to the building’s energy efficiency targets.

Working closely with Caddick Construction, the façade package was delivered to align with the building’s architectural intent while maintaining durability and long-term performance in order to future-proof the manufacturing development.

Collaborative Delivery and Careful Project Sequencing

Delivering the facade package required careful coordination with the wider construction programme. Glazing and cladding installation works were sequenced to ensure efficient progress on site while maintaining safe access and alignment with Caddick Construction’s main works.

Due to the staged nature of the works, CCL Facades also returned to site a year after completion to install external cills and final sealing, ensuring the façade achieved a high-quality finish and full weatherproof performance.

The successful delivery of the project reflects strong collaboration between CCL Facades, Caddick Construction and Caddick Developments. The project not only demonstrates the strength of partnership across the Caddick Group but also highlights CCL Facades’ ability to deliver technically robust, compliant façade solutions for major commercial and industrial developments.
