CCL Facades has supported the delivery of Pudsey Sixth Form College in Leeds, contributing to the expansion of Leeds City College’s education facilities.
Working alongside the main contractor, CCL Facades was appointed to deliver a specialist facade and envelope package, supporting the creation of a durable, high-performing and visually cohesive building.
The scope of works included glazing, rainscreen cladding, canopy roof coverings and soffit systems. The glazing package comprised approximately 710 sq m of aluminium windows, curtain walling and doors, manufactured using Cortizo systems to achieve strong thermal performance, airtightness and security standards.
Curtain walling utilised a capped system with 52mm mullions and transoms, delivering a clean architectural finish. Additional works included 128 sqm of metal canopy roof coverings and soffit panels, incorporating trapezoidal profiled steel roofing, micro-rib soffit panels and integrated rainwater goods.
A further 28 sqm of aluminium rainscreen cladding was installed to the access stair enclosure, supported by insulated build-ups and detailed to achieve the required architectural intent.

The façade and envelope systems were designed to deliver long-term performance, incorporating thermally broken glazing systems, insulated cladding build-ups and robust steel canopy constructions. Rainwater disposal formed a key element of the works, including the installation of external polyester powder coated aluminium rainwater pipes and decorative hoppers integrated into the main college building.
Through coordinated design, careful detailing and high-quality installation, CCL Facades delivered a compliant, durable and visually consistent façade solution that supports the operational and environmental requirements of this modern education facility.
