CCL Facades Completes Facade At Manchester’s Lumina Village As Main Works Progress

CCL Facades has completed its facade package at Lumina Village in Manchester, marking a significant milestone in the delivery of the 199-home development, led by main contractor and sister company, Caddick Construction.

Completion and handover of the facade has seen CCL Facades design and install a high-performance rainscreen facade system across the residential development, which comprises modern apartments, townhouses and ground-floor retail space.

The completed facade plays a key role in delivering a durable, energy-efficient and visually striking building envelope aligned with the project’s architectural vision and performance standards set out in thermal modelling.

CCL Facades worked closely with project stakeholders and supply chain partners to develop an enhanced solution using a composite panel rainscreen support system, ensuring the facade achieved a U-value of 0.18 W/m²K, stringent air leakage and acoustic requirements.

The facade package included the installation of Kingspan K-Roc stone mineral wool insulated composite panels, fixed directly to the SFS structure. Panels were supplied in varying insulation thicknesses and finished with a durable Slate Grey Prisma coated steel.

CCL Facades also delivered a range of integrated elements, including aluminium soffit systems and flashings, trims and copings to ensure a high-quality and weatherproof finish.

Tony Blake, Managing Director of CCL Facades, commented:

“Lumina Village demonstrates the true value of early collaboration and technical problem-solving. By working closely with Caddick Construction and the wider design team, we were able to develop a facade solution that meets demanding performance criteria but also delivers on the architectural intent. We’re proud to have contributed to a scheme that will provide high-quality homes in Manchester.” Tony Blake, Managing Director of CCL Facades

Dave Saville, Regional Managing Director for the North West at Caddick Construction, added:

“CCL Facades has played a key role in bringing the vision for Lumina Village to life, and their expertise and proactive approach have ensured the facade package was delivered to a high standard. Construction across the wider development is continuing to progress well, and we look forward to completing the remaining works and delivering this important residential scheme for Manchester.” Dave Saville, Regional Managing Director for the North West at Caddick Construction
